This guide explains how to add new vehicle types (e.g., Taxi, Taxi2, Shuttle) in the admin dashboard. Each vehicle type helps define specific ride categories such as on-demand, rental, outstation, shuttle, or airport rides.

Step 1: Navigate to Vehicle Settings
1. Log in to the Admin Panel.
2. From the left-hand sidebar, go to: Settings → Vehicle Fare Settings.
3. Click on the ‘Add Vehicle Type’ button.
Step 2: Fill in Vehicle Details
| Field | Description / Action Required |
| City | Select the city where this vehicle type will be active. |
| Vehicle Name | Enter a user-friendly name for the vehicle (for example, Sedan Car, Mini Taxi, or Airport Shuttle). |
| Vehicle Type | Choose or create a unique vehicle type name. Example: Taxi, Taxi2, Taxi3, Shuttle. Each new vehicle must have a different vehicle type to distinguish it. |
| Ride Type | Select based on the intended service category: – Normal – For on-demand city rides. – Rental – For rental bookings (hourly packages). – Out Station – For long-distance or intercity rides. – Shuttle – For shared or route-based travel. – Car Rental – For car rental verticals. – Airport – For airport pickup or drop services. |
| Display Order | Determines the order of vehicles shown in the app (for example, 1 for top, 2 for next). |
| Max People | Enter the maximum number of passengers allowed for this vehicle type. |
| Destination Mandatory | Select ‘Yes’ if the user must enter a destination before booking; otherwise, select ‘No.’ |
| Fare Mandatory | Select ‘Yes’ if the fare must be calculated in advance; otherwise, select ‘No’ for flexible pricing. |
| Toll Applicable | Choose ‘Yes’ if tolls are to be included in the fare. |
| Commission (%) | Enter the commission percentage applicable to this vehicle category. |
Step 3: Save the Configuration
After filling in all required fields (marked with a red asterisk *), click ‘Save’ or ‘Submit’.
The new vehicle type will now appear in the Vehicle Fare Settings list.
Click ‘Details’ beside the vehicle to configure fare structure and other settings.
Best Practices
• Always ensure vehicle type names are unique.
• Maintain a consistent display order for better organization.
• Double-check the ride type selection — it determines where and how the vehicle appears in the app.
• Review commission and toll settings before enabling the vehicle.
