1. What is Rentals & Outstation “Vehicle Type”

a. Rentals

Rentals Vehicle Type  allows the user to book a ride on an hourly basis. It usually helps customers book rides with the help of packages defined by the admin of the platform. . It can be 1 hour or 2 hours of package for instance.

b. Outstation

Oustation vehicle type allows the Users to book a ride from one City to another. The main advantage of this ride is to be able to book the rides for Longer trip. This can also be called as Intercity Rides.

2. How to Enable “Rental & Outstation”  Services

a. Login into the Admin Panel

b. Go to Settings section > City Settings

c. Select the city from Dropdown for which you want to enable the Rentals & Outstation Services.

d. Tap on Rentals/ Outstation.

e. Mark the Status as enabled in both cases i.e for Rental as well as Outstation. You can also add the Name, Description, Info as well as Image as per the Dimensions Below.

Image ratio (width: height):- Dimensions 420px * 240px (max) & Aspect ratio should be 1.8 : 1

f. Once the above things are configured, Click on “Update”

3. How to Create Rental & Outstation “Vehicle type”

a. Go to Vehicle Fare Settings on Admin Panel. Select the city for which you want to create the Rental & Outstation Vehicle Type.

b. To Create a New vehicle Type, Click on “Add Vehicle Type” Option. Fill in the Below requested details as per your Business use case.

• City > Cross check the City for which you want to create the vehicle type
  
  
• Vehicle Name > Enter the Vehicle name separately for Rentals & Outstation. This name will be shown to the users when they’ll be requesting a ride on your platform
  
  
• Vehicle Type > Select the Vehicle type according to your Business case
  
  
• Ride Type > Select Rental to provide Rental Services and similarly select outstation to Provide Services for Outstation
  
  
• Display Order
  
  
• Max People
  
  
• Commission

c. Click on Details under Action on the Vehicle Type Page. 

d. Go to Edit Fare Structure. Define the Fare for vehicle Types i.e Packages for Rental Services & Trip Fare (Round & One way) on case of Outstation Services.

e. Once the Fare has been Setup, Click on Change Option to Save the Details.
